Crystals and the Law of Attraction

This guest post is from Alexandria Barker, who has a gift for combining the magic of crystals with the power of law of attraction. Here she shares how to use crystals to attract love and more:

crystals and law of attraction by Alexandria BarkerLove is one thing we can all use more of – good to know you can become a magnet to love, with a little help from the Law of Attraction and crystals!

By combining the power of crystals with your focus and intention, you can create the kind of relationships you truly desire.

Rose quartz is my favorite stone for love. Not only does it encourage self love, it helps draw new love to you, or deepen existing relationships.

A piece of rose quartz under your bed will attract new love or renew existing love relationships, depending on your intention. You can also place a piece in the relationship corner of your home, the farthest right rear corner from the front door.

It’s also a great idea to wear rose quartz as a pendant – especially a heart shaped one – so your heart chakra is continually bathed with the beautiful energy of this loving stone. Speaking of bathing, you can place a few rose quartz stones in your bath and literally submerge yourself in this loving gentle energy.

Rose quartz is also my favorite stone for healing and balancing the heart chakra. It’s considered to be the most important stone for both the physical heart and the heart chakra.

The heart chakra, located at the center of your chest, is the chakra of love, compassion, devotion and generosity. A healthy heart chakra enables you to love deeply. It fills you with gratitude for the opportunity to live life and the desire to give back. The more open your heart chakra is, the greater your capacity for love.

Rose quartz is the crystal of peace and unconditional love. It opens the heart, teaching the true meaning of love, and brings deep healing and self love.

This lovely pink stone has a calming, reassuring quality that also makes it ideal to use for traumas or crisis.

From a law of attraction perspective, rose quartz is a great stone to work with because it promotes self love. This is very important, because without self acceptance you won’t have much success attracting the things you really want — you won’t think you deserve them!

It’s also a wonderful stone to hold while doing your affirmations. Carry or wear it throughout your day to remind you of your intentions.

rose quartz manifestingBefore you begin working with your rose quartz, it’s important to take time to cleanse it of any negative energy. No matter where you obtained your stone, you have no way of knowing the degree of negative energy it may have absorbed from the time it was mined to the time you bought it. However, cleansing and purifying your stone is easy to do.

Simply hold the stone in your left (receiving) hand and cover it with your right hand. Imagine the space you’re in being filled with white healing light from the Universe. Ask that the rose quartz be cleansed with universal love and universal light.

When you feel this is complete, it’s time to really get to know your stone. When holding it in the palm of your hand, ask to be connected with it’s highest energy. Ask it to work with you for your highest good and the highest good of all concerned, for whatever purpose you choose ( such as attracting self-love, a new mate, or renewed love with your present partner).

Once you connect with one piece of rose quartz this way, you will automatically have the same connection with all rose quartz you come into contact with (though they will still need to be cleansed and purified.)

What a great post, Alexandria! And, I have that ‘exact’ heart-shaped rose quarts (got it for a gift), so the photo really caught my attention…although, I must say, I ‘really’ love the look of those raw, unpolished stones.

Actually, I’ve never been quite sure what to do with my heart shaped one, so I’ve never really had a strong connection. But now that I know how to form one, I’m especially interested in practicing a little more self-love with its help.

Very cool info, Alexandria! 🙂 I so appreciate your sharing of your gifts.

  2. Parul says:

A great post, Alexandria! Thanks for the awesome tips! 🙂

  3. Brenda, I have one of those hearts, too, but Alexandria, I’ve been wondering – is the crystal affected at all when drilled from top to bottom to make it work as a necklace? I recently bought another one of those beautiful crystals (after you inspired me on your healing with crystals call) and wondered about the hole that was drilled through it.

  4. Alexandria Barker says:

Thanks Brenda! I love ROSE QUARTZ in both forms – have raw pieces throughout my home, and use the polished version as a touch stone to keep in my pocket, and love my heart-shaped pendant. Mine has a story – I bought a smallish one for my daughter, then years later bought a larger one for myself. It turned out to be TOO large for me – too heavy around my neck – so I seldom wore it.

Fast forward a few years, that daughter was home visiting and was going to see a friend going through a challenge, she wanted to give her a crystal, but our local store had closed. I offered my large pendant – my daughter wore it for a few hrs, then confessed she didn’t want to take it off, let alone give it away.

So we put together a different crystal care-package for her friend, and I gave my daughter the large rose quartz, she later returned my small one, which I wear all the time, so we’re both happily infusing ourselves with lovely loving rose quartz energy!

I love rose quartz as well. I like to wear a mala that has a rose quartz at the end; it lays perfectly on my heart chakra. After reading this post, I decided to purchase another one with a heart shaped rose quartz. In case you are interested, she is a seller on etsy. I have many of her malas. I love them. The rose quartz is my favorite. They are very affordable.

This is the one that I ordered:

I prefer rosewood beads so she is going to restring it for me. If you enter the code octobersale, you get 25% off the price.

I often charge my stones using Reiki.I also use my breath. I cleanse them with sage, leaving them out in the full moon and also placing them under a cooper grid.

Alexandria, I hope you write more on the uses of other crystals.

  6. Alexandria Barker says:

Thanks Parul! Happy to be of service! 🙂

  7. Thanks for that link, Judie!

And I agree, Alexandria – we’d love more posts from you on other crystals, too!

  8. Meredith says:

You’ve deleted every single Power Places Tours post? And not a single word since? What? I thought you believed in open speech Jeannette? very strange. Looks like Power places tour won then :/

  9. Meredith, you must have missed my “I Paid $7,000 to Write This Post” post, but I updated you in response to your other comment on the pre-paving post.

  10. Judiesjuice says:

Alexandria, I look forward to reading more about your work with crystals!

  11. Alexandria Barker says:

JudiesJuice, I love combining the power of Reiki with crystals! I do treatments blending both, and also charge my personal crystals with Reiki. Recharging them under a full moon is great, sunlight is also effective, as long as it isn’t a crystal that fades. I’d love to share more ways of how to incorporate crystals into your life – in fact I’ll be writing another blog post about how to make a big impact on your life with this tip – feel free to visit

  12. Alexandria Barker says:

Thanks! I’ll be posting another soon!

  13. Alexandria Barker says:

Jeannette, your wish is my command 😉 Will send you another by week’s end!

  14. Elaine Enlightening says:

Great article! This was perfect timing for me. Where do you recommend buying crystals? I live in rural Missouri and there aren’t a lot of stores with crystals here. Do you have a good online store you know of? Thank you!

  15. Parul says:

I have a tiny disc-shaped rose quartz, now I’m getting inspired to get some more! 🙂

  16. Reeya says:

I love this and what it symbolizes. It means alot to me. I can’t wait to come across the first one that’s meant for me, soon.

    Thanks for posting Jeannette!

  17. Jeannette, I asked this same question of the woman I studied Crystal Therapy with – she said it depends who you ask (some purists feel even polishing the stone detracts from it), but she and I are of the consensus that the crystal will be just as powerful for you, if that’s your intention.

For example, say you have a quartz point that’s been broken, the bottom has been broken off. If, in your mind, it’s ruined, that will be your truth. But for someone else it could feel even more powerful. They could connect to it on a deeper level, relate it to damages they had suffered that knocked them off their feet. Now they have empathy for the stone, opening the door for healing.

So I’d say, enjoy your drilled stone (my pendant is drilled too) and maybe give it some extra love to make up for what it was subjected too! 🙂

  18. Elaine, I’m sorry I don’t have any to recommend. I’m blessed to have a wonderful store about 45 min from home. You might want to watch for crystal shows, we have them here a few times a year where you can buy your crystals wholesale. 🙂

  19. Reeya, this brings up an interesting aside – Love Crystals. These are crystals you receive as gifts – they contain that added energy. If that doesn’t happen to happen, I’d just go into your local crystal store holding the intention that you’ll be directed to the right crystal. Never fails! 🙂

  20. Elaine Enlightening says:

    Thank you, Alexandria.

  21. says:

I’m off to stick my bit of rose quartz under my bed. It’s place has been stuck in my bra along with a load of other crystals so I am quite relieved to make some room 🙂

  22. MissyB says:

Silly me…stuck it in the wrong way round above ! lol !

  23. Bras make a great place to keep crystals close to your heart! Just don’t forget they’re there – I had a lovely piece of amber stick to my skin after being worn all day, only to drop onto the hdwd floor and break in half 🙁 Still useful, but when intact it was really cool, looked like a butterfly. So, treated myself to a new piece! 🙂

  24. Judiesjuice says:

As I posted last week, I ordered a heart shaped rose quartz mala. We were hit with Hurricane Sandy and lost power for 7 days. During that time, I searched for my rose quartz mala, I have had this one for a few months, love it, it’s my favorite. I cannot find it! I know I wore it last week but I guess I misplaced it, which is hard for me to believe because I keep my malas in one area. I hope she makes her way back to me.

  25. I feel for you – I hate losing a beloved crystal! A few years ago I lost a necklace made up of the 7 primary crystals I’m to work with this lifetime (used Crystal Allie cards to divine) had it specially made – next time I’ll replace the magnetic fastener with a real one – it wasn’t up to supporting the quartz point I hung on it – I just hope the finder appreciates it! Though they do say, when you lose a crystal, it’s just it’s time to move on. We don’t own them as much as are custodians for a time! That said – hope you find yours! 🙂

  26. Judiesjuice says:

Alexandria, that’s what I have been telling myself. But I do hope it shows up somewhere. I haven’t received the other mala. We haven’t received mail in days. Thank you for your support. I feel she will turn up somewhere.

  27. Elaine Enlightening says:

I feel for you, too, Judesjuice! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I believe everything happens for a reason and that reason is there to serve us, and everyone else, too. No one but you could know what it means for you and in time you will, I am sure.

Only in this world, the physical plane and in the ego is anything lost. God/Source, or whatever is your filter, is love and being love and creating us like Him, we are love too. Love extends on and on and has no ability to lose. Maybe the Universe has a new crystal waiting for you to discover that exceeds your expectations. I hope you will continue to share your journey with us.

    Blessings of love and light

  28. Judiesjuice says:

Thank you Elaine. I know it’s “just” a mala, but I was particularly attached to this one. I own quite a few malas from the same etsy seller. I really loved how it made me feel when I wore it. Due to the Hurricane, our mail has been delayed. My other heart shaped mala should arrive tomorrow.

The interesting thing is that I did feel a bit guilty when I ordered this second mala. I wonder if I lost it on purpose?!?! That doesn’t feel right but I’m sure there’s a link between my feelings and then losing it. Sigh.

  29. Judiesjuice says:

    I found it!!! Yippee!!!

The ironic thing is that I still have not received my heart shaped rose quartz mala. I heard through the grapevine that the post office (not the one in my town, but where our mail comes through) was flooded so they are trying to dry out all the mail before distribution. I’m looking forward to receiving my new mala but I am so happy to have found this one!

  30. Yay! Happy you found it. So now you’ll have 2 – or a lovely gift for someone special!

  31. Elaine Enlightening says:

That is great, Judiesjuice! I am so happy for you.

From your previous post, would add, “Thoughts are things.” Someone in The Secret Movie said that, I can’t remember who, but that’s what came to my mind.
Any who, so happy for you!

  32. Judiesjuice says:

Thoughts are definitely things. I just received my heart shaped rose quartz mala. Thank you for all the support friends!

  33. Heads up, for those who enjoyed this post about rose quartz, Alexandria has created another article about amethyst:

    Enjoy! 🙂

  34. I am a believer of the power of crystals, attracting good energy. I actually have a set of stones in my bracelet but then again, we also have yo be focused at our goals and make sure that we have the confidence ad the will to achieve success.

  35. Alexandria Barker says:

That’s true law of attraction, I see them as ‘permission slips’ as Bashar calls them – a beautiful part of nature to appreciate and help us gain clarity on our true desires!

  36. Elaine Enlightening says:

I am blessed to have some wonderful crystals now. I found a wonderful resource at VibesUp! Ultimately we are each responsible for what we are attracting in our lives and true change begins in our thoughts. Crystals will aid us on our journey!

  37. Alexandria says:

That’s great Elaine! I’m so happy you found some new ‘friends’! Did you get a chance to look at the 2nd article Jeannette posted for me, lots more info there!
