Ode to the New Year

dancing with 2016Happy New Year to all my fellow creators!

Welcome to a beautiful clean slate to play with! A fresh clean calendar to make our mark on! 365 brand new days to dance with!

I know not everyone feels that way, though, because we’re less than twelve hours into the new year and I’m already seeing emails asking how to ensure 2016 is better than that last awful year.

So here’s a sure fire way to guarantee your new year rocks the way you want it to:

Remember what there was to love about 2015.

Give a couple thanks for the things that went your way. Recall the times you laughed, and you loved, and you delighted with something life delivered you.

It could have been finding that random delicious brownie in the break room that one day.

It could have been when your item rang up on surprise sale at the checkout.

Or maybe when you smiled at the ginormous hole the neighbor’s dog dug after being left in the yard all day.

It doesn’t have to be big, and it’s okay if it was just one occurrence of lightness in your entire year.

But remembering how 2015 was good to you gives 2016 a chance to do even better.

It wasn’t all bad, I am sure of it. And dwelling on the good parts is the only vibration shift you need to let more good stuff in.

When we stop resisting what life seems to be delivering (I say “seem to be” because often our perception is just a little skewed from letting us see it as perfection) it gives Universe a chance to deliver the other things we would enthusiastically say yes to.

For my part, I’ve got a little love letter in my head for my new romance with 2016. I’ll share this “2016 Activation Script” for anyone who could use a shift in their new year vibe:

2016, I am ready to dance with you!

I really liked my last dance partner (2015 was good to me in many, many ways). But it’s your turn now and I am ready to rock this place with you at my side.

I’ve had my eye on you for a little while now, and I have to say, I like what I see.

You are my idea of a good time – fresh and fun and free! I can see the smile you’re already smiling and I can tell that you were born to boogie.

Let’s do this thing, my new friend, and let’s have a blast at it. Let’s laugh, and love, and relish in the joys of this amazing life!

Let’s be good to each other in the way that it was always meant to be.

We know how to do this. We were made for this time, this moment, this new day.

I have a good feeling about you, 2016. Let’s rock this party together!

I hope you’re as excited about the new year as I am, and I wish you all the best in the amazing days to come.

Happy New Year, everyone!

    Jeannette,

I really liked your point “When we stop resisting what life seems to be delivering it gives the Universe a chance to deliver the other things we would enthusiastically say yes to.” I think that has been one of my biggest manifesting lessons to date. I’d heard over and over again “what you resist, persists” but I wasn’t conscious of the fact that I was doing it. I use to think all the time, “I wish I didn’t have this job” it just took a while for it to hit me that every single time I thought that, I was resisting the job, so of course that’s why I still had the job =)

    Wishing you an exciting 2016,

    Namaste

      Namaste,

Thank you so much for your input! It is so helpful!

I will never forget another great example you once gave of an ex-client of yours who wanted to be with her high school sweetheart, despite being separated for more than a decade, him being married to another and her dating life a revolving door. It was not until she said, “even if I end up alone, so be it” (or something like that) that she re-connected with him after his divorce and they ended up married. I absolutely love this story and it is such a good example of what resistance does to us!

It is like a magical code of sorts, freeing you and breaking the resistance chains,so to speak, becasue they are tying you down. Very powerful. I have yet to understand it and I am still learning, but the point is not to dwell on what is, as Abe say.

      Happy New Year to you!

Oh I am so excited about 2016, Jeannette.

And to be honest I LOVED my 2015. It was my FIRST full year, living without my regular pay-check. lol.

But I LOVED it. I trusted. I surrendered. I believed something WONDERFUL is coming my way and it really did. Actually MANY wonderful things. 😀

GVB and GVU was surely helped me. Your posts lifted me every time higher, higher higher.

Thank YOU and everyone comments here in GVB and also GVU.

And here is my Ode to 2016:

    Oh 2016!, Oh 2016!
    I love you so much.
I know you will take me higher than 2015.
    I love you both.
I love all the years past, even though I went deep down in some.
Because the deeper I went, I higher I can rise.

Woo Hooo it is time to rise.
It is time to continue rising.
Non-stop rising. (or some dips are ok too. lol)
    I really love this.
And I enjoy every secpnd of it, wooo hooo.
    I love my life.
    I love what I do.
    I love what I have.
    I love who I am.
    I love my friends.
    I love my family.
    I love my furry friends.
    I love creating.
    I love the world.
    I love the stars.
    OMG what else is there?
    I love ALL. 😀

I started with smudging and lighting candles and blessing all. It’s a brand new tradition I’m starting. And of course, gratitude goes a looooooong way in clearing the path ahead. I was just reading something about that yesterday, was that on your blog? It was a scientific study that included gratitude as one of the ways to fight depression. I’ll have to find it.

  5. Annette says:

I am ready for the cha-cha with 2016!
The Universe delivers all sorts of perception possibilities, and all we really have to do is look at some options that perhaps we haven’t before.
    The ‘bad’ in my 2015?
Showed me what is truly important to me. What I will not negotiate!
    The ‘good’ in 2015?
Showed me what lights me up!
So, basically, it’s ALL good 🙂

  6. Sandeep says:

    Hi Jeannette,

    Happy New Year 2016!

    Thanks for this beautiful post.
I will shift to the new vibe that I know will take me to my destination I want to in this year.

I am sharing a prose I wrote on Day 1 of 2016 with you here; happy reading:
    ______________________________________________
I’ve a voluntary urge to express,
Though not an intent to impress.
It costs no money to dream,
So I dream of big money.
It is free to send wishes of love,
’Cos I like to receive free love.
It increases my happiness on sharing,
So I share my happiness with you.
I want a noiseless peace of mind,
Please don’t mind my need for peace.
Did you wish for my good health too?
Oh! That’s possible when you hug me
With true love, not only today on Day One
of 2016, but every day you meet me.
    (With love from Sandeep Sinha)

    Love and regards

  8. Jen C. says:

I love it all as well, especially your poem, Sandeep. I am kissing the clutter goodbye and getting organized and repainting. I am activating the new, the ideals I value most. Reaching for the Highest, Funnest Fun this year, and wishing that for you as well.

    • Sandeep says:

      Thanks Jen

I am also going to do something funniest this year, at least once for sure – that will make me and those around me happy.

      Best wishes and love

      Sandeep

  9. Marlies says:

I wish you bubbles in your belly. And of course in your glass. Lots of little happy moments and the greenest of green grass. I wish you love and laughter and sunshine in your heart. I wish to see more of your journey and I will take part!

With this words I want to thank you for your bubbly writing. although I’ve been on this vibrational trip for a long time, I was delighted to read your E-book in your authentic, briljant way!

    Happy ROCKING new year, Jeannette!

    With love, Marlies
