Trusting “Nothing”

December 29, 2011 | 10 Comments »

deliberate creation at its bestThis was the week I was supposed to announce open registration for my next group course starting in early January.

And it’s also the week I picked up a flu bug. (Likely coming into alignment with that after watching the movie Contagion and seeing my boyfriend come down with it.)

My first thought as I retired to bed with this virus was that this was NOT good timing.  How was I supposed to fill a group if I didn’t make a web page, send out emails, prepare a promotion, get everyone enrolled, etc.?

And then I remembered the magic of “non-doing” and my commitment to practicing more of that.

Which is the subject of the class!

I realized this flu was giving me another chance to give up thinking that I have to DO something to get what I want.  Indeed, that oftentimes getting what I want works better when I don’t “work” it at all.  And that rest combined with good focus offers powerful alignment to let something good happen.

That’s the thing about powerful creation: it involves releasing our reliance on “doing” and “action” and increasing our trust for Universe to put it together.

Even those of us who know how the system works have trouble letting go of old habits of “making it happen” and “figuring it out.”

Which is what I’m committed to mastering even better.

So when I posted at Good Vibe U about doing flu in the vortex, I mentioned that if anyone cared to tell their friends about my January group, it was open for registration.

And sure enough, people shared!  And people signed up!  (Thank you, everyone!)

It never ceases to amaze me how Universe meets us wherever we decide to let it be easier. Because our true power lies in our conscious focus, on embracing empowering beliefs, and on our vibration management skills.

Not our willpower or productivity or willingness to pound it out.

And sometimes that feels like trusting “nothing.”  But really, it’s about trusting our true creative power.

The next time you’re thinking you have to “do” something to get the results you want, remember who you are: a deliberate creator and powerful manifester who knows how this system really works best!

If you’d like some support and training in growing that trust and those creation skills, there are more slots available in my Slacker Manifesting for Action Addicts starting in January.  It’s designed for deliberate creators who still have tendencies to overdo and overwork.  (If you sign up in the next few days, you can probably still get in.)

  1. I came across this quote today from Eileen Caddy:

“Cease trying to work everything out with your minds. It will get you nowhere. Live by intuition and inspiration and let your whole life be Revelation!”

Sounds like the perfect way to *trust*!

    Many blessings,
    Nancy

  2. Jesann says:

Oh, geez, feel better fast, Jeannette. Think of it this way–you’re getting it all out of the way before the new year starts. You’re going to feel fine in 2012!

I’d love to be in the slacker manifesting group, but I haven’t yet manifested the $$. I’ll see what happens when January starts and what comes in. 🙂

Happy New Year, to you and everyone here!

  3. Love that quote, Nancy! Thanks for sharing.

Jesann, I appreciate the well wishes. I’m sending abundance vibes your way for 2012 and beyond!
    🙂

  4. Ming says:

    Hee Hee!! I can’t wait.

I hope you are feeling better. Those angels I sent hopefully did their job 😉

It made me laugh so hard when I tried to pay and the pay button did not work. Slacking off already… and what did I do.. waited till today and tried again. Sure enough it was meant to be… I didn’t sweat it either. But yeah, I am looking forward to what you share. So ready for easy!!

I’m so slack that I blew off signing up for the slacker class. I totally embraced being slack today and I knit at my desk at the office instead of working on selling real estate and then I went riding. Both activities are definitely vibration lifters.

I hope you are feeling better soon and feel well enough to cuddle with all your furry friends.

  6. Did I tell you that in Access we are declaring advertising an incurable disease? I booked a client for a session and a registration form y class today simply by feeling good about what I do and sending out that energy into the world 🙂

  7. Check you out, slacking is paying off for you already, Ming. 🙂

    Thank you, Ashley.

And Sophie – you are a great example of walking the manifesting talk!

  8. Katy says:

Well I like the concept of ‘flu in the vortex’! :o) Since I work with people mostly on their physical ‘stuff’ I am always interjecting tidbits of the emotional aspect of healing. And not ‘dreading’ or worrying about the flu etc this time of year. Your flu in the vortex is such a fun way to take the heat off of yourself…to baby yourself…have all your comforts around you, soft tissue, yummy soups/teas, good uplifting books and movies…etc. That’s what it’s all about isn’t it? Thanks for the reminder and hope you are feeling better soon!

  9. Steve says:

The path of allowing. It also steers me away from the “cursed HOW’s”.

  10. Katy, your words brought a lot of peace and comfort these last few days. Thank you for them!

    Nice reminder, Steve. 🙂
