Give Yourself An Easy Win

One of the first things I do as a law of attraction coach to help new clients manifest an elusive desire is listen for something that seemingly has nothing to do with why they hired me.

Yet it has everything to do with getting what they want.

That’s because creating what we want is all about alignment.

It’s about feeling better now, before the next cool thing happens.

And feeling better now isn’t just about imagining it or scripting it into reality. It’s not just vision boards, affirmations and inspired action.

It involves all sorts of ways to feel better before our desire comes true.

While there are other ways to feel better before we get what we want, the one I like to start new clients off with is plugging the vibrational holes.

I’m talking about eliminating energy drains, aka tolerations. The things that keep us anchored in the lower end of the vibrational scale.

When we can spot something they’ve been putting up with that bothers them – and eliminate it – that’s often all Universe needed to get that cool new thing through their door.

You’d be amazed how many times the weight drops, the guy calls, the job is offered, and the money flows when we release that thing we didn’t know was keeping us out of vibrational range of what we want.

That’s why it can seem like magic to eliminate a toleration.

I know it from personal experience:

  • the coaching practice didn’t take off until I quit the job I hated
  • my business didn’t evolve until I cut ties with an energy-draining ex
  • my health didn’t improve until I stopped fretting about my health

And I’ve seen it happen with plenty of others … where we addressed the family feud, or remedied the acne, or improved the living situation, and that’s what released the logjam that held the manifested desire at bay.

So if there’s something you’d like to get good traction in creating, look for an energy drainer (that might even seem completely unrelated to your desire), find a way to eliminate that toleration and watch what happens next.

It often doesn’t even require alignment exercises beyond dropping the drainers in order to get what you want.

It’s happened so many times that it’s now the first thing I look for with new clients – just plug the vibrational holes and magic happens!

Eliminating tolerations can be easier said than done, since sometimes we’ve gotten so used to those drainers that we don’t even question them any more. Or even when we know what they are, we sometimes feel helpless to change it. (Otherwise we would have already!)

Which is why getting a second set of expert eyes on your situation can help kickstart powerful change.

But it’s a tip worth considering if you’re looking to infuse extra magic in your manifesting practice …

Just look for something you haven’t been loving and find a way to shift it.

Here ‘s a quick tutorial on eliminating tolerations.

And here’s to finding even more delightful ways to manage our vibration and allow our biggest dreams come true!

Love this article and the concepts in it, Jeanette! I have eliminated tolerations with little things but oh those big darn things…jobs, you know the ones with salary/health benefits/guaranteed retirements, and then there’s relationships,…how do you find the courage and trust enough to let them go? And how do you know when the time is right? I don’t want to be mediocre, but the courage seems to elude me, and I find myself settling. Any advice, Jeanette or others?

    • Jeannette says:

I like Abe’s advice, that if we just care enough about how we feel, and we continually reach for whatever feels better, our inner being will show us the way. The advice doesn’t get any better than from inner guidance! 🙂

Permanently and rapidly dropping off the weight you no longer want How to Lose Weight Fast is actually much simpler that your know. How to Lose Weight Fast
It’s getting ripped off by the diet and weight loss industry with a useless scam or a prodcut that can only work temporarly that makes you falsely believe that you cannot lose weight fast.

Hey Jeannette! This has been so empowering! I am looking at things with the microscope, assessing what I can let go of, what I can confront, knowing I don’t care what another things, ‘it’s all about me’ anyway!! Feel so freed up. It seems to be the little things in life that I’m dealing with, I have done so much of the bigger issues, just feels like the little tolerances I am dealing with. The judgements of being petty or considering another above my own well being. Great, great stuff! Thanks again, always perfect timing. Love and light Sharne

    • Jeannette says:

“It’s all about me” definitely helps with this work, Sharne! (Since caring what others think is often what gets us in the vibrational mess to start with.)
Thanks for reading and for posting, my friend. 🙂

What if the energy drain is a family member like your parents? And they are creating a major strain on your marriage. Even after years (half a lifetime) of trying to work things out and things are still toxic?
It seems more doable to release a toleration like a business relationship, or even a friendship but an unhealthy parent/child dynamic is pretty challenging. Why are some people able to let go of a toxic parent /child relationship but others are still waiting/hoping/praying for a miracle of change. Maybe that’s where the miracle is- in emotionally letting go and accepting what is so you can free up all that energy that was being drained and take back your power. That’s my understanding-

    • Ram says:

I want to know this too.. and trust me I have tried to let it go emotionally but everytime I think the relationship is over (witjlh my mother, whom I live with) she charges back again with more spitfulness. I know some might say I’m somehow creating this but I have tried to lover her and forgive her and surround her by angels and some how…I’m still here…I don’t know what else to do. In my mind I know is over but having to live with her and see her everyday makes things so difficult…any advice ? (And I am moving out as soon as I can…)

    • Jeannette says:

There are a variety of ways to approach any energy drain, Sharon. The important thing is to be open and to find the one that feels best.
I’ve had clients who decided on one approach change their mind about it when it was too hard to implement, and instead just decide to relax about it, since that turned out to be easier for them. And I’ve had clients who tried to relax about a situation, and it just didn’t work so they finally had to take action to switch things up.
But trust me, there isn’t any situation that can’t be addressed. No matter if it’s family, or bosses, or our own bodies. There is always a way. It isn’t always to see that way ourselves, when we’ve been living under the weight of it for a long while, but that’s where an outside perspective can often help clear things up.

  • Lana says:

Awesome reminder Jeannette. I did this a number of times even before I really started diving deeper into the LOA teachings and it has always proven to be an effective, powerful move. Once, I ended a long-term business relationship that was rapidly growing into a super-drainer. Three days after that I met a cool new client who also gave me a number of referrals so it brought even higher abundance. It’s funny how after you ditch this thing or person, or whatever might be the case, it feels like: ”Oh, come on now, why on earth didn’t I do that before…this is sooo easy!”. Of course, now we know how tricky a momentum that is racing in the wrong direction can be. But it can be of use to remind ourselves of all the times we did it in the past and how it actually was a no-brainer then. If you can do it the first time, you can do it the second, and the next and the next.

    • Jeannette says:

That’s a GREAT example of how powerful it is to plug our energy drains, Lana! Thanks for chiming in with that real life experience. 🙂

  • Sandra says:

A big vibrational hole that I plugged in was when I embraced minimalism and also started simplifying my life. I love having my apartment, my car, my gadgets (iPhone, iPad mini, kindle), my finances, my cubicle at work and even my purse and wallet all decluttered, organized and in the case of my finances on automatic pilot (bill-paying, investing, etc.). It all helps me feel free, light, at ease and happy! 🙂

  • Jeri says:

Thank you for this!!! Much needed, as always!
