Let’s “Let’R Done”

An important reminder that “getting’r done” isn’t the most powerful approach to getting what we want:

I think Abraham-Hicks should sell hats that say “Let’R Done.”

Because it’s easy – even for us deliberate creators who are trained to know better – to sometimes fall into the habit of thinking we have to Get’R Done to Make It Happen.

Which, of course, couldn’t be further from the truth.

This recent reminder from Abe brings the point home well:

You’re just trying too hard.

You’re not quite willing to let it just be the next logical step. You want to poke at it and push it along a little bit.

It’s like, “All right, already! I know this stuff! So let’s get the job done!”

And we say, “let’s LET the job be done. Let’s not get the job done. Let’s LET the job be done.”

Let’s let it be done by the natural laws of the Universe. Let’s let it be done by the larger part of you. Let’s let it be done by Law of Attraction.

Let’s let it be done by because it is right that it be done.

Let’s let it be done because IT IS DONE!!!

That’s the thing we so want you to hear! It is done!

It is only your awareness that you can’t see the evidence of the doneness of it that is holding you back.

There is great love here for you.

When we work hard to make something happen, we’re actually holding up the party.

Chilling out, relaxing, and letting inspiration hit is a much smarter (not to mention enjoyable) approach.

And with that, I’m off to to let something happen.

  • Thanks for stopping by, Victoria! Always nice to hear from someone new across the pond! 🙂

  • Victoria says:

    Hi Jeannette,
I am from and live in the Uk. I have to admit that I had never seen your blog before now (I came across it be accident). Having read a lot of the comments and your thoughts on the LOA I have to say that I am impress and inspired to learn more abot LOA.
I love what people have to say on here and find it wonderful that they share such deep and meaningful thoughts and experiences with each other.
Keep up the good work, you have started to change my outlook on life for the better.
    Love Victoria..xx

  • Nice habit, Julio, to get very clear and deliberate with your allowing.
My Paul McKenna I Can Make You Sleep CD has a nice line in it, too .. something like how nice it is to let go of the day and knowing tomorrow will take care of itself. It takes me to that same “melting away” of resistance that just feels delicious, doesn’t it?
Thanks for reading and especially for joining the conversation on this one, Julio! 🙂

  • Julio Blanco says:

This post fits so perfectly with the mantra I’ve been trying out during meditation, just whispering softly in my mind “just let go, just let go.” I could feel my propensity to think I’ve got to get it done just melt away and my vibe turning downstream.

  • Isn’t it interesting the associations we make with certain songs, Leah? Fun to get some insight on what music floats your boat … actually, that might make a fun blog post all by itself!
    Hmm …
    (thanks for posting, Leah!)

  • Leah Bach says:

It’s a Canadian thing I guess… but this song always (since I was “young”)gives me a LOA rush. Because it’s just “oooh, what a feeling, what a rush”… and that’s what makes it feel good. It’s one of my “feel-good-fixers”…

  • Well said, Nancy! I love that you practice what you preach!

  • LOL, Jessica and Jeannette, I was singing “Let it BE” while I was creating the Harnessing Your True Power: What to do BEFORE you take action! Call Series.
It’s not just about letting things happen, but getting into alignment FIRST so everything does fall into place (without our getting sick, stressed, freaked out or worried about it in advance).
    Many blessings,

  • Ok, Ande, if that’s not a reinforcing message from the Universe about the power of relaxing and letting go I don’t know what is!
You’re kind of making me want to turn the computer off right now. ha ha
LOVE your story – thank you for sharing it!
(And feel better soon … although you might want to stay in bed even after you do – ha!)

  • Ande says:

Okay, first, last night, I watched Larry The Cable Guy’s stand-up on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. And today, I see this. What hilarious LOA!! 🙂 LOL
Second, I’ve had a particularly tenacious cough for 2 weeks, and I tried to get myself back in action a few days ago and got worse. So for the last 4 days, I kept the computer off and took naps and watched fun TV and cuddled with my dog. In that time, my online business brought in $265, which is more than it did in all of September when I was working my butt off (and probably working myself into the bronchitis that caused the cough).
So, thank you, thank you, thank you, for reminding me that my new motto needs to be “Let R Done.” I love it!! 🙂

  • Love that you have a testimonial to share on the topic, Kimberly! That makes it so much easier for others to embrace when they see another getting real results with it.
Thanks for reading and especially for posting!

  • So true, thanks for the valuable reminder, Jeanette! I have noticed in my own life that because I’m so ambitious I like to push. BUT the last 6 weeks or so, I released some control and it is like my lack of pushing forward (at the speed of light) has allowed others to finally catch up with me.
Everything is flowing easily and without much effort at all. In fact, I have gotten the same results in my business, flowing along in bliss, as I did “pushing” and “trying”.
    Feels good!
I’m a convert to, “Slow down, smell the roses, and let everyone else catch up!”

  • Thanks for highlighting that distinction, Barb, between letting go and giving up. Some people are reluctant to let go precisely because it DOES feel like giving up, but nothing could be further from the truth.
    Much appreciated! 🙂

  • Barb says:

Thank you for this reminder, Jeannette. Recently I’ve been searching for more balance in my life, and each time I feel like focusing on “doing” instead of “being”, I tell myself “surrender”. It doesn’t mean “give in”! It means “go with the flow”. This is a perfect and friendly Universe that always wants the best for us and knows better. So let’s surrender to the wisdom, stop doing and indulge in the perfection of this moment…

  • I think that song was divinely inspired, huh, Julie? One of my long time favorites.
    Here’s to “letting miracles”! 🙂

  • Julie B says:

AAAAHHHH… thanks for the reminder Jeanette (and Abe). I am hearing the Beatles “Let it Be” ring thru my mind. It is early in the morning as I write this and this gave me such a peaceful mindset as I start my day.
    Getting – work hard, pursue
    Letting – align, allow
Letting feels so much better and when I can relax into that state without the gremlins, miracles occur!

  • Good one, Jessica! You’re making me want to go have a listen to that one right now. 🙂
And I can just about guarantee my boyfriend wishes he’d been house shopping with you instead of me. lol
Way to walk the talk, girlfriend. You share an inspiring example!

  • Jessica Earl says:

Isn’t there a song… “let it be, let it be, speaking words of wisdom, let it be”?
I’ve had it go just like that- so easy just by letting it be! Getting out of the blue phone calls for my jobs for example (I’m quite certain most if not ALL!). No resistance there! And my home, I’ve only “looked” at two houses in my life! The first was in another state and I don’t remember why I didn’t buy it, but life took me in another direction. I moved, and then my house I bought was when I wasn’t “looking” yet- a coworker of a friend brought it to my attention. Looked at it, loved it, and put in a very low offer, just for the fun of it. They took it! WooHoo. I had 50% equity within a year or two just because the value went up, and I paid so little for it! Still here 10 years later! 🙂
Anyhow, those are when it flows, and it just happens! I love that!
I try to remember and feel the vibration I felt on those moments and apply it to things that I am challenged with manifesting! It usually works well that way- the crossover.
We don’t need to try hard, and it is a message I needed to be reminded of again! Thanks!!
