Guest Post: Magic Lists from Pernille

When I heard this story I begged Pernille to share it here!  Not just because I firmly believe in the power of writing it down, but because it’s an inspiring example of manifesting success.
So today’s fabulous guest post comes from Denmark’s LOA Coach Pernille Madsen:

Do you make lists, where you write down your goals/wishes/dreams or whatever you call “the things you would like to see happen”?
I do, at least sometimes.
Actually, just a few days ago I spent a couple of hours thinking about and writing down the things I would like to see happen as regards my business in 2010.
I was feeling really good about it and enjoying the process very much. And I simply made a list on a flip-over, which ended up including 15 entries.
Let me share a couple of the entries with you:

  • I want to spread the word about LOA and inspire as many persons as possible.
  • I’m the Denmark Expert as regards the Law of Attraction & Deliberate Creation.
  • To become visible.

Two hours later my phone rang.  (Two hours!!)
I didn’t recognize the number, but when I picked up the phone it turned out to be…… a JOURNALIST.
And not just any journalist, but a journalist from one of Denmark’s largest medias, doing research about LOA, for “something” that could eventually reach a lot of Danes and tell them something about the law of attraction. And this “something” could also involve me becoming very visible!
And the fact that this journalist found ME and chose to contact ME – is clearly in recognition of ME being the Expert in Denmark on the Law of Attraction (he he – at least that’s what I like to think).
I’m thrilled to see Universe deliver three things from my list within two hours from writing it down!!
Maybe my flip-over is magical. Or maybe the power of lists is magical. Either way I can promise you that in the future I’ll definitely be making more lists.
Do you have similar experiences with writing lists? I would love to hear them!

Okay, I just realized that Pernille’s list is still working.  This post is adding to her visibility!  Okay, that’s cool manifesting all around, girlfriend!

You are so cool, Pernille. Well done, you rock!

  • I have never heard the term “flip-over” before, (probably because I speak American English.) I find it very symbolic, write things down and then flip them over to the universe. I am SO doing THAT!

  • Ha! I like that interpretation, Robert!
I was thinking the same thing – I don’t know exactly what a “flip over” is, but I want one! lol
Nice to see you here, Mia! Thanks for posting, you two.

  • […] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Jeannette Maw, Sandy M. Sandy M said: RT @GoodVibeCoach: 2hrs after writing down what she wanted, Pernille gets an oppty she couldn't have dreamed of: […]

  • MsNikki says:

Congrats, Pernille!! That is sooo awesome and it is only 01/16/2010 (here in the States)!

  • You guys make me smile – does “flipchart” sound more familiar?
Although I must say I love your interpretation, Robert, of writing things down and then flipping them over to the universe! That’s exactly what we do, isn’t it?
Thank you for bringing my story, Jeannette. I’m very much looking forward to hearing what others have experienced 🙂

  • Iyabo Asani, The Inner Genius Coach says:

Ooooh! I really cannot decide if the post is better than the comments or vice versa on this blog! So awesome!
Pernille, you are indeed my shero! I am so proud of you and you so deserve it.
Robert, you are on to a whole new release technique. You better trade mark that before others catch on! LOL!
Pernille, I have a white board in my office where I write on the board with dry erase markers what I want. I see that list all day long and now, I just get so happy when I see the list. Now it has not all manifested but I am psyched because maybe I need it on a notepad so I can “flip it over to the Universe!”

  • I agree, Iyabo – I think she’s onto something with that!
    Thanks for posting, my friend.

  • Tshombe says:

I too was completely confused about what a “flipover” is (makes sense, though. That’s what you do: write on it and flip it over!). Thank you, Pernille, for clarifying it for us Americans.
And Robert! I love your interpretation. Thank you! I am excited to incorporate that fabulous vibration when I’m pray rain journaling.

  • Pleasure to see you here again, Tshombe! Your smile always raises my vibe!
Speaking of, Iyabo – what happened to your gravatar? I missed your smile with your comment!

  • Janette says:

Yay Pernille!!! That’s awesome manifesting, and what a great way to set the tone for 2010 🙂
Thanks, Jeannette, for asking Pernille to share her story. Loving your approach to guest posts and spreadin’ the love!

  • Kim Falconer says:

I love this story! Thank you Pernille for telling it. I feel quite inspired. I haven’t done that kind of writing for a while! Giving it some attention tonight!
:Love the power of the written word!

  • Suzie Cheel says:

Wow that is powerful and I love the flip over as Pernille says that is waht we do when we hand it over to the universe. I have a written list in a book. maybe a need a flip board 🙂 Thanks for sharing

  • You know that’s the thing, isn’t it? To really be able to let it go after we claim it.
We’re so used to micromanaging our lives that that doesn’t come naturally to all of us – even we deliberate creators!
Thanks again, Pernille, for leading us to a creative way of surrendering the desire after we make it known – and thanks, Janette, Kim and Suzie for reading and especially for posting!

  • Toni says:

That’s great news, Pernille – I can’t wait to see you in the papers! 🙂

  • Mitch says:

    Congratulations, Pernille! And well done!
I have a flipover too that I haven’t used in a while. (I actually just noticed it today before I read this post!) Maybe there is something magic about it that the universe was trying to clue me in on. 🙂
I expect things are just going to get better and better for you after this. Keep making those lists!

  • Suzie Cheel says:

Love that Jeanette: micromanaging now that is something I am releasing in 2010 as you say not even easy for us deliberate creators. I was listening to the Cd of the Vortex yesterday and laughed along with Abe at many points!

  • Jan Bird says:

I love this post and the comments! I’m an inveterate list maker at work – I can’t keep track otherwise – but hadn’t thought of listing what I want to happen. I will try it today!
When I saw “flip-over” I instantly read it as what we Brits call a shorthand notebook – an A5 journal with the binding at the top, not at the sides so you literally “flip over” the page when you’ve written it. Designed for journalists so they can take lots of notes quickly. A kind of “mini flip chart”. When one page is finished it just flips over quickly. When you’ve gone through the book one way, you turn it round and write on all the blank pages.
They’re small enough to fit in a handbag or document case – a mini flipchart for writing things down when we’re out and about and want to capture something we don’t want to forget!

  • Thank you for all your kind and inspiring comments.
After the first couple of comments I was thinking: “oh, what a shame, I used a wrong word (flip-over) (that was just my (ex!) perfectionist gremlin whispering in my ear, I know!!!).
But man, am I happy now that I did!!!! This has turned out perfect (as always!!)
Together we’ve invented a new expression!
This is law of attraction made simple – and I love simple!!!!
You simply write down your wishes and flip them over to the Universe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I think I better get me one of those shorthand notebook flipover things you mention, Jan, to fit in my handbag 🙂

  • And I was worried that my commenting on the word “flip-over” might be seen as a critisim and I am SO glad that it wasn’t taken that way. And I trust that readers will focus on the writing-down part of this story, which is so much more important than what we write on.

  • Pernille, you’ve got to google Denmark Law of Attraction Expert and see who turns up!! he he
Seriously, when I heard you were manifesting that, I was like … what?! You SO already have that one nailed! Isn’t it time to acknowledge it and take the NEXT step?!
So … can’t wait to hear what goes on the flipover next.

  • Carol says:

Thank you for sharing your story, Pernille . . . it is so inspiring! And of course you are the Denmark Law of Attraction Expert!
You guys have inspired me to get one of the flip-over notebooks the next time I head into town! 🙂

  • Barbara says:

Fantastic post! It’s very exciting, isn’t it? I love the vibration here. If I could do flips in the air, I would! So I guess I’ll just flip it over to the universe instead! 🙂

  • Ginny says:

WOW! That is awesome Pernille! And I can relate because I have a similar story. I am an artist working with polymer clay and one day I wrote in my journal that I would like to be on the Carol Duvall show, which at the time was a very well known craft show on HGTV. That’s all I did – wrote down that I would like to be on the show and that I guess in order to do that I need to contact the producers and see how I could go about interesting them in me and my artwork.
TWO DAYS later I got an email from one of the producers of the show!!! I did NOTHING to contact them, nothing to show them my work. All I had done was write down in my journal that I would like to be on the show. I still get chills remembering this. The producer told me she had come across my website. Her exact words were “I don’t even know how I found your website, I was just doing some web surfing and came across it”. She asked if I would like to be on the show.
Because of a variety of reasons, it didn’t work out. BUT, I will never forget how powerful just the act of writing something down can be. And I will always remember how thrilled I was to be told by this producer and others, including the host, Carol Duvall herself, that my artwork was fantastic, etc. Like they say with the Academy Awards – it was an honor just to be recognized. LOL
Every time I come and read the posts and comments here I go away totally excited and totally believing in possibilities!

  • Tshombe says:

That’s brilliant, Ginny. Love it! We are all such powerful manifesters.
I wonder if I can find one of those mini flipovers 🙂 here in The States…..preferably my state!

  • Jan Bird says:

    This is so great!
I tidied out a bookcase today and what did I find but a shorthand notebook, all but unused. Into my handbag it goes! They’re not quite A5 – a bit narrower – with a metal spiral bind across the top.
I’m really going to try this!

  • Jessica says:

WooHoo! I’m smiling and laughing because I had the same line of thoughts on the flip over… I’m glad people speak up to clarify because it makes it obvious just how many people have the same thoughts- it gives everyone freedom to be themselves!!
I remembered a story too… When my daughter was younger, she was having a bad day- and I mean unable to please, reason, or time out her into cooperation and no idea what she was upset about. She had hit that point of “no-return”. I had put her in her room, screaming and crying at the top of her lungs… with no end in sight of it stopping. It was all I could do to hold it together. I was frustrated, but also heartbroken that I couldn’t manage to help her find a solution to cope with her young feelings. It was ‘out of my control’ but yet I couldn’t “do” anything else because the crying was so distracting and discouraging. I don’t know what made me think to do this, but I only wanted to do something to make MYSELF feel better. Not perfect, just better so I didn’t lose it too! I began on the whiteboard and made the longest list I could (filled a large board) with as many reasons of what I loved about my daughter… the first word took a few seconds, hmm… she’s funny! Okay, what else? (Screaming grinds at my nerves) Um, she’s polite. Okay, what else? It started so slowly because her “bad behavior” that day was what was on my mind. As soon as I got 5 or 6 (the warm up), the rest was gaining a lot of momentum (the focus)… and I couldn’t stop! It felt SOOOO good to remember all the things I loved about her… and before I was even half way done, her screaming tantrum and crying began to dissolve like morning dew in the sunlight!! I kept on going, and she was completely quiet by the time I finished. I sat there for a minute looking over my full board of positive traits feeling so good. I hear a polite and loving call from my daughter, “Mom? Can I come out now? I’m sorry for how I was acting.” She came and gave me a hug and she discussed it so maturely- sharing her feelings and what happened, etc. She even seemed to age in that moment by years. It was very amazing! Then she noticed the white board and asked what it was… and I explained it was all about her. She was GLOWING reading all the good things I had to say. It made her feel good- first on an unknown “vibe” level and then on a physical conscious level. It was great.
That was the best list of my life. I wish I had taken a photo of it for her later in life… maybe I’ll go start another one of those kinds of lists!! 🙂 And to think I did it for ME, not her… but it helped both of us!
    Thanks everyone!

  • Cassie says:

Visibility is something I crave, too. Just seeing someone else put it out there makes me feel a lot less alone.

  • Anonymous says:

Thanks again for all your kind comments.
And thank you so much for sharing those powerful stories, I l o v e d reading them!!!!
@Ginny – gosh, you’re story is so very similar to mine, I got goosebumbs reading it! and I totally agree on this “I will never forget how powerful just the act of writing something down can be”!!!
@Jessica – you’re story is awesome, I got tears in my eyes and felt all warm inside – that was really amazing!! – your daughter must have felt so much love from you!!!!!!
@Jeannette – thanks for the tip “you’ve got to google Denmark Law of Attraction Expert and see who turns up!! he he” – I just tried it and Google found ME – weeeeeeeeeee 😉

  • Well – that must have been too much visibility, so now I became anonymous 😉
    : ) Pernille

  • EngagingtheMagic says:

Love it!! As I was reading Pernille’s post I immediately thought of my flip-over that I bought last year just to write my lists in. I should say the abandoned fip-over that I bought. It has beautiful colors and stripes down the front!
I’m going to dig that out as soon as I get home. Something tells me to look through the already written lists and see what as indeed manifested for me! And of course make some new lists.
Thanks Universe and Pernille for the reminder!

  • Berta Bauer, Lighthouse Coaching and Retreats says:

I LOVE lists, but this is such an inspiring and revolutionary way to use them. Mostly I use them to accomplish all the tasks that I need to do at work and at home.
Right now I am a server and we use a tiny (maybe 3″X5″) flip over note pad to write down our customers orders on. I just had a brilliant idea to write 20% on the top of each table’s order to intend the tip that I would like. Maybe I will add desert and cocktails, too!
More important, I will grab a flip notepad I have at home and write my career goals that will provide means to quit my server jobs and do what I passionately want to do and be: a published novelist writing stories laced with LOA that entertain as well as inform/teach and be a LOA coach–my newly discovered mantra is:
    I am a . . .
    Brilliant (B)
    Abundant (A)
    Wildly- (W)
    Successful (S) . . .
    coach. I am the BAWS!
Ur, um … pun on boss. Now, I flip it to the universe.
Pernille, I have so often related and loved your comments on GVB in the past, and am so excited to know the Denmark Law of Attraction Expert. You are in the vortex, Woooo Who!

  • Annette says:

Oh – I love this place! It’s so exciting – and the people are Rock Stars!
Flip over – I am thinking terms of real estate – to ‘flip’ a house. This resonates with me, so I’m sticking with it! Thank you Pernille!
Here’s mine: I had been thinking about getting new pictures for the website, this & that. Although I had a photographer and good camera right at hand, I procrastinated. On Jan 2nd I decided that was the day – I was getting those pictures done! We went outside and took several shots of several poses and outfits. Immediately after I came back inside, I had an irresistible urge to go buy cat food. I listened, and on the way to the original store, I had another urge to try out a different store. I listened. They didn’t have the cat food, but on the way out the door, I was approached by a photography consultant!!! I got Professional photos done for a very low price. I also got offered a JOB with this company!! As a photographer – which I am amazed over. I am not a pro photographer, but I AM going to be taking wildlife pictures. How cool is that?! And this company is very into self-development – we have weekly meetings that include motivational talks. I have already spoken to the General Manager, and we’re planning my stay with them to be one of leadership (which means I get to teach LoA stuff!) – which also fits my Public Speaking desire!
And on the 1st – I was talking up the Cheetah Experience with old friends. This all fits and it’s a package deal. I love it!!

  • Nat Couropmitree says:

Annette, I like your reference to flipping a house. When you flip a house you get back more than you put in. So when we ‘flip over’ our list, we can expect to get more back! 🙂

  • Suzie Cheel says:

Annette, how awesome is that, love flipping the house analogy. I must put that more into practice and make more lists.
    You are doing so well
Berta- Love BAWS I might borrow that one
I have just founs a vibrant flourescent flip over index cad pad that I think I will start using for my lists of manifestations

  • Tshombe says:

OOOOOO! I love it, Annette. Congratulations on your listening to intuition and experiencing abundance!
Love your flipping a house analogy and Nat’s great extension of the thought.
Reminds me of the biblical verse in Luke that says that if you give you will receive “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over”.
    How exciting!

  • Annette says:

Thank you Nat, Suzie and Tshombe! And Berta’s the BAWS!!
Tshombe – the verse you quoted is fantastic!
