Losing Weight with Law of Attraction

Law of Attraction Weight LossAn LOA weight loss coach recently sent a guest post on how to drop weight using law of attraction.

I haven’t written about that subject lately, so I was interested to share it.

Until I read it.

It was about she used meditation and self love to stick to an organic raw foods diet.

Yikes! A lot of people could get the wrong impression from that – that her success came from eating a particular way.

She was all about using spiritual processes to stick to a “healthy” diet.

That is not LOA weight loss.

At least not my idea of it.

Because we don’t necessarily know what food or exercise serves our body best. But our body does. A nutritionist, a doctor, your physical trainer, your spouse – even an LOA weight loss coach –ย doesn’t know.

They can’t know, because they can’t hear your inner guidance.

Conscious creators know it’s all vibrational. And each of us isย unique. What serves you nutritionally could be my undoing. And vice versa.

We can’t copy eating habits or exercise routines and expect the same results.

What we can do is learn how to activate the vibrations of what we want. And then do whatever feels best.

That’s my idea of consciously manifesting a more ideal body: find the frequency of body love and then follow her instructions. She knows best, all I have to do is listen for what she wants and then give it.

Maybe she does prefer organic raw food, but it would have to be her idea, because I would never impose that on her (again).

I did a bunch of crazy eating routines in my ridiculously misinformed youth – including an entire year of no sugar. Another year of no fat. A couple months of no processed foods, half a year vegan. And I won’t recount all the juicing and cleansing fasts. That’s insane stuff when it isn’t prompted by inner wisdom or body intuition.

One doc said I ruined my metabolism and launched adrenal fatigue with all the fasting and ridiculous diets. This was way before I knew about energy, attraction and my body’s wisdom.

If I were writing an article on how to lose weight with law of attraction, I’d say this:

Find the frequency of what you want, then do what feels best.

That’s it.

Finding the frequency of your desire could be done many ways:

There are lots of ways to shift the vibe. And that’s what you want to do first.

After that, learning to trust and respond to your body’s preference is your only work.

Sometimes your body might say ‘nap’ instead of ‘workout.’ She might prefer dancing over CrossFit. She might suggest chocolate instead of grapefruitย one day.

When you’re dialed on what you want, you can trust whatever your body asks for.

You won’t know what serves best until you tune in to that frequency and listen for inspiration.

Lots of folks (mostly muggles, but some LOA savvy people, too) make decisions about what’s best for their body from a place of dissatisfaction, frustration or even fear. We’re not likely to make successful choices from that vibration.

And sometimes we mistake physical addictions for true desires, so it’s helpful to get clear on the difference. (That’s actually a great time for a skilled coach like the one who wrote!)

But imposing external rules that drown out our inner knowing is not the way to go.

So. For the record. To use your creative powers to manifest a more ideal body, just engage your skills to find the vibration of what you want and let your body lead you to it.

And when your inner guidance says “organic raw” or “gluten free” or whatever it might say, please don’t assume that’s the healthy diet we should all be on.

I agree with you Jeannette! ๐Ÿ™‚
Years ago, before I knew anything about LOA, I was very unhappy in my body. Like many people I tried lots of different diets and eating less and healthier.. I even forced myself to work out, which I hated, so nothing ever really changed, cos my vibes were all screwy to begin with.
Fortunately one day I got so fed up with feeling bad about my body all the time that I decided to give myself a break!
I decided that for the next month, I eat what I want, I do what I want and there will be absolutely no self criticizing going on, if I have to avoid all mirrors for that, so be it!
Right after that decision I felt a huge relief coming over me! And for the next month I stuck with my promise!
Didn’t exercise at all and didn’t feel guilty for not doing it. My only “workout” was walking to work and back, which was 1km one way, but I really enjoy walking, so I was looking forward to that every time.
I ate absolutely anything I “felt like”, including junk food and lots of sweets!
But because I had given myself permission to do all that, I felt happier and easier than ever before! ๐Ÿ™‚
30 happy days later I decided to check if there is any change in my body weight. I wasn’t expecting anything big, cos my logic told me that since I haven’t been eating “healthy”, I probably haven’t lost anything.
I was alright with it though, cos it wasn’t my goal to begin with.
My only intention had been to let go of the neverending struggle over my body, just for the 30 days.
And to my very big surprise, I found out that I had actually lost 10kg! ๐Ÿ˜€
I was wondering about how come my clothes seemed to get bigger after washing.. ๐Ÿ˜€
So, yes, it matters how we feel first and foremost, and sometimes the best solution is to let go of the “problem” and keep yourself happy in all the other ways. ๐Ÿ™‚

Totally agree with you J, every word.
A little story from my life that really proves your points. A couple of months ago, I decided to use LOA to get a flat toned stomach ๐Ÿ˜€ I began by giving thanks to my amazingly toned and flat stomach for a couple of days – I think I wrote it in my gratitude diary – and then just forgot everything about it. Shortly after, I went to the pharmacy to buy some french beauty products and my eye bought some dark puple labelled lactic acid pills (natural stuff) – I normally never ever buy any kinds of pills – but for some reason I stood there in the pharmacy and could not stop reading about the pills and the different sorts of them. Long story short, I bought the pills and within days I got a flat stomach – it turned out my problem was not too much sugar or not enough abdominal exercise – but a digestive problem causing my not so flat stomach ๐Ÿ˜›
So I totally agree with you. Use any of the LOA methods that suits you and listen to your inner guidance and then follow it.
    Love, Lotus

Great post Jeannette! My body wants cake most days, and it’s a mid morning thing and then she wants fruit/veg and all the things society refers to as ‘healthy’later in the day. My body seems to naturally prefer the breakfasting like a king, lunching like a prince, and dining like a princess (I won’t say pauper!) routine. But she also loves water. Didn’t used to! And I find that by drinking mainly water, I can eat whatever I want. My body likes to graze too. She eats A LOT, yet despite the way she was 6 years ago (constantly beating up on herself), she is now really balanced, really in tune. I am sure the water has a lot to do with that and I have been really intrigued by Abe’s comments on the importance of water since our bodies are around 70% of The Good Stuff. But I suppose what I am trying to say in a nutshell – scuse the pun – is I feel great when I eat cake. I feel great when I get that sugar high, the morning coffee fix. Not just after I have had these things or during the pleasure of savouring them…but it’s the anticipation. So these days I rarely beat up on myself for ‘overindulging’now and then, and amazingly, neither do my jeans. It really is an incredible feeling never to step on the scales and to eat with freedom, gratitude and love!

I went down 4 dress sizes in 6 months with loa. First thing I did was stop weighing myself still haven’t and won’t. Then I found a picture of the body I wanted to have cut it out put my head on the body in Photoshop then had a huge laugh at the picture then forgot about it completely lol
I disn’t race out and grab the latest greatest fab diet nor did I excercise either, I just got happy and stopped trying to lose weight then it just fell off

  • Hope it was helpful, Megna.
And Brenda, that’s exactly it, right?! We make choices and our body responds based on what our vibration is. So if I’m flowing frustration and disdain, I choose different things and my body responds differently to those things than if I were flowing appreciation and love.
It’s great to hear from someone who’s practicing that. Thanks, Brenda!

  • Brenda says:

I love this: “There are lots of ways to shift the vibe. And thatโ€™s what you want to do first.”
YES! I’m discovering that if I don’t address the vibe part FIRST, my brain distorts the signals I get for food – what kind and when, which, for me, leads to anything from ridiculous restrictive eating to binging on everything under the sun. Yep, vibe first! Thank you for this brilliant post, Jeannette.

  • Megna says:

Guess I attracted this post.. Thank Q so much Jeanette
    love & light

  • Lori, I thought it’d be good to have an obvious link for people to track you down in case they feel that inspiration:
Thanks for chiming in on this one. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Lori Race says:

This is what I consistently preach with all my clients, patients and friends!! Beautifully written Jeannette, I’m definitely sharing.

  • Karen, this is such an important reminder for all of us:
“Just because itโ€™s ‘all the rage’ does not mean itโ€™s right for you, or me.”
I think sometimes we get optimistic about someone else’s success – or even just their enthusiasm/insistence gets our attention, and we don’t remember to check in with our own inner wisdom about whether a particular thing serves us or not.
I also occasionally see a person who was having wonderful success with a particular process lose steam with it after someone close to them goes bust with it. It’s like they assume that if it didn’t work for their friend/family member then there must be something wrong with it. And they lose all their own progress!
It’s SO worth remembering how unique we each are and that we’ll each respond differently based on our own vibrations and the vibration of the diet/exercise thingy.
    Thanks for posting, Karen. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Karen says:

And speaking of cross-fit, I have seen several cases of people who did cross-fit training or rigorous training with a trainer and then ended up hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis (the muscles break down)and kidney failure. One patient was in for 2 weeks just getting his body back to baseline healthy. Just because it’s “all the rage” does not mean it’s right for you, or me. I am much healthier just listening to my body in sickness and in health.

  • Okay, that’s cool, Jessica! I know you’re not the only one that has that direct and immediate a relationship with their physical selves, but it sure is cool to hear about!
    Thanks for posting. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Jessica says:

Yup, as soon as I start visualizing, I start shrinking! Usually can feel a difference in like 3 days or less.

  • Cassie, just like Iyabo’s post, I love how your comment shows how helpful it is to be in a positive partnership with our bodies.
Here’s to more of that for all of us! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Cassie says:

Wonderful post Jeannette! Well said! Learning to listen to your body and what he or she needs is key to having a better body. The relationship comes first. Like you said, get in line with what you want and then listen to your body. All the while treating your body very well. It’s the best way I’ve found. Thanks for sharing.

  • Iyabo, I love how you put this! “… the weight is a message, a language. Until you deal with that vibration of the language, it will pop up.”
I didn’t even spotlight that the gift our bodies are trying to deliver us is an important and helpful one – and how seeing it that way can help release the resistance, which is always good all around.
Thanks for bringing that to the discussion, my friend! Much appreciated.

  • Iyabo Onipede says:

All I can say is “Yup!” What Jeanette said. I have tried to lose weight by all those external diet modes and I would lose some but I could not stay on it. The fact is that the weight is a message, a language. Until you deal with that vibration of the language, it will pop up. Listen to the vibe, move away from it and locate the vibe you want. Receive the vibe you want and it will happen. In the process, be kind to yourself.
