Mastering the Manifesting Echo

circumstances don't matter; only state of being mattersGet ready to clear one of the most common pitfalls of deliberate creation …

I’m talking about how frustrated we get when we change our vibe but don’t get immediate results. That makes a lot of aspiring manifestors throw in the towel when they don’t see change happening.

This insight from Bashar is one of the most powerful I’ve heard on this subject. Stay with me here …

You know how on facebook when you start a status update, but then try to click off the page before you finish you get a message that asks if you really want to leave the page? And you have to confirm yes or no before you can proceed?

Conscious creation is kind of like that, it turns out.

We have to repeat our new instruction in order to create change in physical reality. One time doesn’t cut it.

Here’s how Bashar explains it:

The physical mind will assume that if it doesn’t see an exact one-to-one reflection in the circumstances that surround you with what it is you believe you’re giving off, you will think that something has failed.

This is where you get caught in your own paradoxical trap. Even though it is true that ‘what you put out is what you get back’ and that choosing a certain state of being determines the circumstances that surround you; the first stage or first reflection of that manifestation will usually look the same as it used to.

This gives you the opportunity to reinforce the new state of being by responding to the circumstances that look the same differently than you did before. And that is where you demonstrate that you truly have changed by responding to the circumstances differently even if they look the same as they used to.

That’s how it works.

The first reflection will usually be an echo of how it used to look. You must not respond to the echo as if that’s the representation of your new state.

You must respond to it as if you know it’s just an echo, and what you are putting out NOW – the NEW RESPONSE to the old circumstances – that will solidify the vibration of your preferred state of being and truly allow the circumstances to change themselves and take their cue from the new vibrations you’re putting out.

So don’t be fooled by the echo into thinking you’ve done something wrong or something’s not working. That’s the self-reinforcing mechanism that gives you a chance to decide whether you really want to change that circumstance or not.

Circumstances don’t matter; only state of being matters.

For me this is a much more satisfying explanation than the old “buffer of time” reply we usually get when asking why we don’t always see immediate manifestation after we adjust our vibe.

Think about it … how silly would it be if on facebook when I tried to click away with an unfinished status update, and saw the “are you sure you want to leave?” message, I just threw my hands up in the air in frustration and declared facebook won’t work for me. “It’s not listening!” or “I’m doing something wrong!”

Ridiculous, right?

The system clearly is working – all I have to do is understand how it’s set up. All I gotta do is click this box that says “yes, I really meant that.”

Same with manifesting. Rather than get frustrated that Universe isn’t responding to my new instruction, I just realize Universe needs to hear it from me consistently before it does its thing.

“Yes, I really meant financial abundance.” (I don’t let an ’empty-bank-account’ echo sway me from my new vibrational instruction.)

Or maybe if I was ordering up “raining men” I could actually think twice about whether I really want to juggle several at once. (That one’s worth being sure about, before you order that reality up!) Or I could make an important edit to my instruction: “raining fabulous men.”

This echo thing could really work in our favor to help us get our instruction right!

I know it’s easy to get frustrated when it seems our new vibration isn’t being matched – but just remember how it really works. You’ve got to be consistent in your new vibration regardless of what reality appears to be. Don’t be fooled by the echo.

You’re not doing something wrong; you’re not being ignored; you just need to be consistent in the new vibration you’re choosing.

I wish I could recall something I once read from Mike Dooley… something along the lines of: do you know what happens right before everything is about to fall into place and your dreams are realized?… that’s right, absolutely nothing!
again, by no means an exact quote… but the gist of it really hit home with me…. that even thought we may not see the evidence of it happening, it could be just around the corner, about to become visible if we just give it one more shot, one more day…

  • Thanks for elaborating, Stacy. Very helpful and inspiring. 🙂

  • To be honest, Jeannette, the knowing does flicker a bit still. But I think having those doubts creep in is part of the process. I am using this post a lot as I feel I’m working toward my goal but nothing is really happening like I’d like – that I’m still dealing with the echo.
Hard to explain about the knowing though – but anyone who has experienced that feeling – whether it’s about a situation, a person, a house they want to buy (I got that feeling when I found MY house after lots of searching), or a goal just knows when they know.
I think for me part of what made me having that knowing was realizing I’d felt very similarly before about a situation.
I think my process tends to be – get that KNOWING but then doubts creep in. Many times in the past I’d think I was initially wrong and didn’t get the knowing but now I realize that I had it but just let the doubts take hold as I was going through the echo (but didn’t realize that was it at the time).

  • Today’s TUT note fits this concept nicely, too:
    Jeannette, it’s working.
No, you probably can’t see it yet, but I can. Wheels are now turning that have never turned before. Winds are now howling that have never howled before. And players from every walk of life are being drawn into place as if in some hypnotic dance. All because of you, your dreams, and your divinely stubborn persistence.
    If I wasn’t the Universe, I don’t think I’d believe it.

  • Agreed, Parul. I got a lot of inspiration from that clip!
Deborah and Cassie, thanks for the positive feedback. Always nice to know when something “lands.”

  • Cassie says:

Oh Jeannette you’re so smart! I love this post. Just this weekend, something came to light and I realized what I wanted all along was being created. I just didn’t trust it. This is a constant learning process and I LOVE the Facebook analogy to help us understand it better. Thanks!!

  • Deborah says:

Jeannette, the Facebook analogy is fabulous! That’s why you’re the Good Vibe Coach.
Or as Abe would say, “Are you sure you want to leave this disk?” Click “Leave this disk” or click “Stay on this disk.”
    Love it. Hahah!!

  • Parul Bhargava says:

Easily my most favourite message by Bashar!!

  • Now THAT is a metaphor that works well for me, Jennifer. Love that idea of “saturation” to make it last.
    Thanks for posting!!

  • jennifer tilley says:

so perfectly timed, and fills in the idea I once heard from doctor Deepak chopra, where he likened it to dyeing a shirt/piece of clothing. something along the lines of, the first dip in the dye will do it, but if you leave it out, over a period of time the dye begins to fade. it must be ‘saturated’ in order for the new colour to stay.
thanks much for the reminder 🙂 🙂

  • Wow, Stacy, that “knowing” is SO powerful – kudos for that!! I know some reading this will wonder how you got there – is that something that just “comes” or did you create that knowing consciously?

  • Ohhhhh, this really resonated with me. Being a rather impatient person the whole “buffer of time” explanation could be a bit annoying.
I mentioned in another comment on another post, that I put out to the Universe (and many people – to keep myself accountable) that I want to quit my working for someone else gig by the end of this month. I’m not rigid on that timeframe – it’s ok if it takes a bit longer.
Today I was talking with an Aber friend of mine and was saying how I KNOW that I’ll meet my goal if not by the end of this month as originally stated then definitely by the end of next month – if I kept doing what I was doing.
So far, there isn’t a whole lot of physical evidence yet things changing so my goal could be met. But I just know it will be.
In fact, I even emailed the person I work for saying I need some time off this coming up week. I want to really focus on my goal for a bit – but was feeling overwhelmed with all the other “shoulds” coming from work.
I even feel so strongly about my goal coming to pass very soon that I’m more than ok if he pitched a fit and said we had to part ways.
I’ve already take the action steps and have gotten out of my comfort zone – and it was very brief time in the un-comfort zone. You know how they say when inspiration strikes wild horses can’t stop you? That’s how I’m feeling – and thus the need to take some time off. I even spent all day working on getting all organized so I can be ready to really roll on Monday.
Ok, that was some rambling – but to sum up – I really like this explanation on why one’s vibe might have changed/be changing but nothing SEEMS to be reacting to that. Very good message for those of us who tend to be impatient. Or have a tough time keeping the faith.

  • Cat, I have not heard that from Neale, and I LOVE it!! Thank you for sharing that here!
Also … speaking of ‘buffer of time on its way out’ – Abe says the same thing! That it’s getting shorter and shorter as time goes on. !!

  • Cat says:

Neale Donald Walsch calls this “the appearance of the Opposite” — the very first thing that will appear when you begin to manifest something is its opposite, and despite the fact that most people give up because of it, that’s the first sign that the system is working perfectly. It’s a tough one to remember, sometimes, but it can give that crucial sense of relief at what can be a rough period in the manifesting journey. Thanks, Jeannette, for giving us a new way to think about it!
(I happen to be of the somewhat radical opinion that so many of us have been wanting instant manifestation for so long that the “buffer of time” is probably on the way out, anyway. 🙂 So there HAD to be another reason…)

  • Oh, yes, keep that up, Melody! Sounds like you’re headed straight for a happy unfolding!
B – thanks for the laugh!! (I love that we have that perspective in common.) lol

  • B says:

Thank you I really needed to hear this, have been stuck in a manifesting rut after some brilliant success and think this might be what kinked my vibe…agree to raining fab men tried that one out already “ain’t nobody got time for that”lol

  • Melody says:

Awesome post Jeannette! I feel completely different lately, yet my circumstances have changed just slightly, so far, to reflect that. This makes so much sense. I love it.
I was relaxed about everything before (feeling good will do that for a girl), just a bit curious as to what was up. Perhaps I was also a wee bit spoiled by past experiences of instant manifestations:)
I have a feeling the next shift in my life is going to be REALLY big, though, and I have deliberately been taking my time to prepare. My desires are getting laser focused.

  • Glad you enjoyed it, Sonia, Deanna and Steve!
Thanks for the thumbs up. 🙂

  • Steve says:

    Great post!!
    Thank you

  • Deanna says:

oh my gosh! this makes sense. this seems so true… and takes away so much frustration – thanks for this post, Jeannette!
