Wouldn't It Be Nice If…?

wouldn't it be nice if ... ?This is some of the easiest manifesting magic you’ll ever play with … enjoy!
Nicole was thinking how nice it would be to attend a conference that she really wanted to go to.
Even though she knew it wasn’t likely to happen (for a variety of reasons), she let herself enjoy the thought of how cool it would be if someone paid her way to be there.
She enjoyed the fantasy of it for almost 20 minutes before she let it go and went back to her daily routine.  (Not to make it happen, just because the thought was so delicious.)
Three hours later she had an email from the conference organizers asking if she’d be willing to be attend the two thousand dollar conference for free in exchange for spreading the word about the event.  Which she was more than thrilled to do.

Beth was in the shower thinking how nice it would be to have a retirement account. She’d been healing around money recently, and even though she’d never had a retirement account before, and no reason to believe she ever would have one, she sure liked the thought of having retirement money set aside in her name …
… money that was set aside, just for her, that she could have fun investing.
She enjoyed that thought while she showered – of how cool it would be to have this kind of money set aside for herself.
A few days later she received word that her in-laws had to create a retirement account for her because of some regulations involving her husband’s family business.  Voila – just like that – Beth had a retirement account in her name!

I was getting dressed the the other day thinking how nice it would be if I still had that FBI sweatshirt from Dave.  It was my favorite sweatshirt of his when we were dating, but he made me give it back after we stopped seeing each other about 15 years ago.  It was my third all time favorite sweatshirt.  So soft, and comfortable, and roomy.  I really really liked it.
As I stood in the closet contemplating options, I thought how nice it would be to wear that sweatshirt again.
I had one the same color from Utah State, but it wasn’t as comfy as I like.  I reached up, though, thinking, “Wouldn’t it be cool if this was the FBI sweatshirt instead?”
Even as I reached for it, I knew it was the USU shirt, but I pulled it down anyway.  Only to find buried underneath it was Dave’s FBI sweatshirt.  woo hoo!!
There’s cool manifesting magic in this effortless little thought.  I first learned it from Abraham, and I think it’s the ease and the non-attachment that makes it so swift to manifest.

Now it’s your turn to experience the power of “Wouldn’t it be nice if …?”
Finish the thought however you like, enjoy the idea of it for a fun minute or two, and then forget about it.  Pretty simple.
Feel free to post your “wouldn’t it be nice” thought or even your story in the comments.  Have fun withit!

Wouldn’t it be nice was the first Abe process I played with.
I was walking down the street one day and thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I have 1000 pageviews today?” When I got home, VOILA! 1000 page views.
That weekend, I was on a walk around the park and thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I got a date?”
This guy on a bike turned around and asked me out!
    Yeah! It works!

  • Woot! Just like that! Isn’t this fun?!
    Thanks for sharing, Heidi!!
(And big thanks to everyone who’s emailed me their super cool “wouldn’t it be nice if” stories. Such a pleasure to hear!)

Wowsers, Jeannette!!! I was reading this post, and when I got to the end, I was thinking “wouldn’t it be nice if my boyfriend stopped by after his spin class?”. We were only able to see each other for a few minutes today, and he said he would text me after his spin class was over and maybe stop by. I hadn’t heard from him, so I assumed he was on his way home instead. Well, before I could finish my thought, my doorbell rang. Yep, it was my wonderful, amazing boyfriend! He forgot his phone, so he couldn’t text me!! Amazing!!! This is so much fun!!

  • Dreamland is a nice place to take these thoughts, Suzie. Nice! I love that that’s already your habit, Sebastian. (Makes for good dreams, I’d bet.)

  • Sebastian says:

I do this every day I go to bed. I fall asleep imagining how awesome this and that would be if…
    Great share!

I am also going to try it for my back which is giving me lots of grief

  • Woo hoo, Lizette! I love hearing stories like that!
(And pre-congrats on your super cool iphone!)
Nicola, thank you for reading and for popping in to share such sweet words. MWAH! 🙂

  • Nicola says:

I loved this just like I love your blog. Instant inspiration, thank you.

Earlier this year we thought it would be nice 1) to get some life cover and 2) to get something my hubby is good at to do for extra cash in his spare time. And 2 weeks ago it manifested – a 2-in-1 deal – he’s offering a business opportunity that involves life cover. 🙂
Now I’m wondering… wouldn’t it be nice if I won an iPhone for Christmas?

  • Blondewizard, I myself have had fab results with that one. It took a while to unfold, back when I first started daydreaming about it, but I am living proof as to how possible that is!
Sending good thoughts your way for you to step into your dream come true as well. 🙂

  • Blondewizard says:

Wouldn’t it be nice if I make my own schedule and the “work” I do is my passion. It’s what I love to do, I’m great at it and I shine some light into other people’s lives all while making a fabulous living?
    Woo hoo! I love it!

  • Yes, I noticed what these stories had in common, Jesann, is that we weren’t trying to get something to happen. We were just enjoying the thought. As Kim said above, the lightness is key.

    Love this!!!

Those are awesome stories. 😀 I’ve tried the “wouldn’t it be nice” thing before. I have the feeling it should work. I know it should work. But I also feel like part of me isn’t letting go enough. Something to work on.
Of course, the things I try it with are ones I reeeeaaallly want, so there may be some “need” issues there that I have to settle, of course. :/

  • Just like that! Magic happens!
The key of course is that we’re not attached to the outcome, which is why this question seems so good at inviting the magic to unfold. What a fun way to play with it, right?!
Thanks for posting, my friend! 🙂

Jeannette, I love these examples! They show off the lightness of being, that magical ingredient to deliberate creation. Hmmm . . .
Wouldn’t it be nice if the lot across the street really was available? How cool would that be? It lights me up, just thinking of the possibilities!
Actually, I can’t stop smiling about it.
    Thank you!!!
